Welcome back, students.

Today, I have another meal that costs under $10 and is incredibly quick to make. This is the sausage veggie bowl. This meal is incredibly high in nutrients, and will leave you feeling full and energized after consumption. It is packed with a variety of veggies, and only requires two pans to make, so it is easy to clean up.

For this recipe you will need pre-cooked sausage, yellow squash, zucchini, and mushrooms. For this recipe, I always use the sausage linked here. This recipe makes about two servings.

The Recipe:

To create this meal, simply begin by heating up a large skillet on the stove on medium heat, using a small amount of cooking oil to grease the pan. Slice the sausage into small pieces, and add them to the pan.

While the sausage is cooking, wash your vegetables and slice them into small pieces, then into halves. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and any condiments you already have in your fridge. Get another large skillet with a lid and add two tablespoons of water to the pan. Add the vegetables, turn the heat onto medium, and cover with the lid. This will steam the vegetables quickly.

Flip the sausage, ensuring that both sides are crisp and the middle is heated. Once this is achieved, put the sausage on a plate. Add the vegetables to the plate once they become very soft. Mix the plate together, and place the second serving in a container to store in the fridge.

Enjoy your quick and cheap meal. To those of you who try, let me know what you think. Leave me comments, or contact me at the bottom of this page.
