Welcome back, students.
Today, I have a microwave only meal idea for you students who are short on time or stuck in a dorm room. This meal is filling, nutritious, and incredibly easy to make.
It has become a comfort meal for me, especially during those harsh Colorado winters. This is a Sausage Spud Salad.

The Recipe:
To prepare this meal, begin by washing a russet potato under water, ensuring you get all of the dirt off. Dry off the potato, then prick it with a fork. This allows it to be ventilated, as well as get the middle hot. Next, wrap the potato in a damp paper towel to ensure it stays moist during the cooking process. Place it on a microwave safe plate, and microwave it for 5 minutes. Flip the potato, and microwave for another 5 minutes. Pull the potato out of the microwave and let it rest for three minutes, or longer if it is still too hot to touch.
In the meantime, cut pre-cooked sausage into very thin pieces, then place on a microwave safe plate. Heat according to the directions. Once the potato is cooled, add butter to the center, followed by your desired toppings.
Add the sausage, and complete with a salad on the side.
This meal is simple, nutritious, and comforting. It is perfect for rounding off a stressful day. To those of you who try, let me know what you think. Leave me comments, or contact me at the bottom of this page.
These dinner ideas are mind-blowing! Thank you for enlightening me with the power of nutrition :D
